WEC welcomes new Board members

During its General Assembly on 29th October, the World Employment Confederation elected four new Board members: Even Hagelien (NHOSH), Neil Carberry (REC), Jan Denys (Randstad) and Shinya Yamamoto (Recruit Staffing). Three standing Board members – Herwig Muyldermans, Bettina Schaller and Antonio Bonardo – were also re-elected in their current roles.

New WEC Board members elected by the General Assembly of 29th October 2019: Neil Carberry, Even Hagelien, Shinya Yamamoto and Jan Denys

As the voice of the global private employment services industry, the World Employment Confederation represents eight corporate members and 49 national federations. At its latest General Assembly on 29th October, the World Employment Confederation welcomed some new members on its Board.

The Board oversees the day-to-day operations and activities, and the management of the Confederation. It is composed of 20 members and its composition aims to strike a balance in reflecting the diversity of the World Employment Confederation’s members (corporate members and national federations, as well as the different regions).

Four new members now sits on the Board. Two are regular Board members:

 

Even Hagelien: Director for the Staffing Industry sector at NHOSH, WEC’s Norwegian national federation, and Chairman of WEC’s Economic Affairs Committee.

 

 

 

Neil Carberry: chief executive officer of REC, the professional body for the UK recruitment industry.

 

The other two new members are replacing former representatives with specific capacities:

 

Jan Denys: representative of Randstad.

Jan is Director External Communications and Public Affairs at Randstad Belgium.

 

 

 

Shinya Yamamoto: representative for the North East Asia region.

Shinya is CEO of Recruit Staffing Japan.

 

 

In addition, three standing members of the Board with specific roles were re-elected for a new term:

 

Herwig Muyldermans: Treasurer.

Herwig is Managing Director of Federgon, the Belgian federation for HR services providers.

 

 

Bettina Schaller: Regional Representative Europe.

Bettina is Director Public Affairs at the Adecco Group and President of the World Employment Confederation Europe.

 

 

Antonio Bonardo: representative of Gi Group.

Antonio is Director Public Affairs at Gi Group.
