A booming market
India is home to the world’s second-largest labour market, with approximately 570 million people employed in 2024. As the workforce keeps expanding, the country offers a dynamic talent pool for businesses. Every year, around 11 to 12 million students graduate from colleges, and it is estimated that 60% of them enter the workforce, contributing to India’s growing working-age population.
During this period of transition, the staffing industry has become a crucial job enabler, particularly as the share of formal employment remains limited at just 20%.
