The World Employment Confederation wishes to express our profound sorrow at the passing of Horacio di Martini.
Horacio served as President of our organisation—then known as CIETT—from 2008 to 2011. His tenure was marked by vision, integrity, and a deep commitment to shaping a fair, dynamic, and inclusive world of work. As a long-standing member of the CIETT/WEC Board, he brought the voice and experience of Latin America to the global stage with great distinction. Horacio became a CIETT Board member in 1993 and served as Regional Representative for Latin America prior to his Presidency mandate.
A pioneer in Argentina’s private employment services sector, Horacio championed professional standards, ethical business practices, and dialogue between employers, workers, and public institutions. Globally, he played a pivotal role in advancing the recognition of the private employment services industry as a trusted partner in employment and skills development, contributing to policy discussions that continue to shape the sector today.
The World Employment Confederation will honour his memory with immense gratitude and respect. May his legacy continue to guide our mission for years to come.
