Social Innovation in a Changing World of WorkNo future of work without Social Innovation!The World Employment Confederation-Europe strongly promotes the concept of Social Innovation to address current and future labour market and societal challenges. Social Innovation is the implementation of new solutions for working, learning and social protection for the benefits of workers, employers and society at large. The World Employment Confederation has developed a Social Innovation Map, illustrating the goals, examples and conditions supporting social innovation. The social innovation map also shows how stakeholders can contribute to social innovation. The World Employment Confederation Social Innovation map can be downloaded here. In the Manifesto "No Future of Work without Social Innovation!" published by the World Employment Confederation at global level, the private employment industry puts forward key recommendations on access to the lab labour market for all, a fair job for all, modernised social protection schemes to reflect new work places, skills for jobs and respoonsible intermediation. The concept of Social Innovation is also at the center of the World Employment Confederation-Europe Vision Paper "Making Europe the best place to work:Our 2024 Vision for people, commpanies and societies." The Vision Paper can be downloaded here. ![]() In the framework of the EU Sectoral Social Dialogue on temporary agency work, the World Employment Confederation-Europe and UNI-Europa are conducting a project on "Social Innovation in the temporary agency work industry", looking at social innovation practices in the areas of access to training, acces to social protection and the role of social dialogue in fostering social innovation. The project is funded by the European Commission under the EU Social Dialogue budget line.
